@bon bon - I've seen a nicer B&W photo of hands recently somewhere... ;)
@Barbara - just go for it and see what happens, it's all I'm doing. As for apps, you're best looking on flickr to see what people are using but I use: - hipstamatic: the square retro looking ones - gorrilacam: lets you touch the screen anywhere to take the photo (free) - camerabag: a variety of preset styles, cinema and colorcross my faves - tilt shift generator: great fun - shakeitphoto: polaroid maker - mill colours (free): can adjust lift/gamma/gain/saturation - photogene: crop, adjust levels, sharpen, frames etc - mobile photos: use this to upload but I’ve just got flickr’s free app to see what that’s like

I'm very envious of the pictures you're getting out of your iphone.
Thanks Barbara but it's all in the apps. Do you have an iPhone?
love the b/w. very classical.
I do and am bewildered by the camera apps! I've tried a couple and not really got very far with them. Which do you use?
cool because it's so basic :)

@Arjan - cheers. that's what I was going for :)
Wow, love this photo. Would like it framed on the wall of our study.
