2010: The year we took photos, week 16 'and relax...'
I find looking at lines, curves, repeating patterns, geometric shapes soothing. I know it's weird, and call me a geek but there is something in the simplicity that's beautiful.
I had taken quite a few photos at the last minute, so that morning I was on a mission - walking around specifically with my eyes open.
There was something about the grate that caught my attention, and I really liked the cobbles so I bent down to get the angle I wanted, with the grate being the focus. But most of all I knew straight away how I wanted to process it as I took it. There's the sooc version in the flickr comments if you want to go have a look?
I'm more of a happy accident photographer but I've not been all that happy with some of them recently. Thought I'd try looking for a change. And it's all in the apps.

Yes, I see what you mean. You've illustrated your point beautifully with this picture. Were you kneeling down when you took it?

Blimey. It's amazing the difference you can make just by playing with it. You have a very good eye.
